| Summer Rego / Clearances by THIS FRIDAY! |
Thank you to clubs who have lodged their Summer Bulk player Rego processing forms & player registration forms, & clearances approved by last Friday 10th October.
We are extending the lodgment date to THIS coming Friday 17th October, for any Summer Player regos & clearances still required, to allow to play week 1 (Tues 21st Oct).
Please Note… Summer Fixtures have been programmed into the EDPL website, & are being proof-read right now, so will be issued ASAP !
(PLEASE don’t phone or email the office asking for fixtures, as soon as they are “live” on the website, we will be notifying everyone!) |

The updated 2025-26 Summer Scoresheets are on the EDPL website, in the "Documents+Forms" section, then under "Summer" heading.
There's 2 different Summer scoresheets...
* Scoresheet for Divs 1,2,3 = 6 rounds of 6 frames = 36 frames
* Scoresheet for Divs 4 & 5 = 5 rounds of 5 frames = 25 frames
Please ensure your Summer team captains have copies of the updated 2025-26 Summer scoresheets. |
| 2025-26 SUMMER INFO NOTES - UPDATED! |
As discussed at the Club President's meeting last week, the majority of clubs preferred to KEEP Summer Season Handicaps & Bonus-Frames.
Please find attached the UPDATED 2025-26 SUMMER INFO NOTES...
The UPDATED info is on page.2, section 6) regarding Team Handicaps & Bonus frames....
6) TEAM HANDICAPS – will be used again this Summer Season, similar to last summer…
a) Each teams’ players points will be added PER ROUND, & must not exceed the division points cap.
The round with the highest points total will be used to determine the maximum team points total.
The difference between the two teams’ maximum round points totals to be calculated….
(eg 98.4 pts – 94.1 pts = 4.3 pts lower)
b) HANDICAPS:
DIV 1, 2, 3 = 1 bonus-frame per 3pts difference (MAXIMUM 5 BONUS-FRAMES)
DIV 4 & 5 = 1 bonus-frame per 2pts difference (MAXIMUM 4 BONUS-FRAMES)
Bonus-frame/s to be added to lower points team frames total for match score, & must reach the whole number of points difference (so difference NOT rounded up/down)
(eg.. Div 1, 2, 3 = if teams are 3.3pts difference, then lower team gets 1 “bonus-frame” added.
If 5.9pts difference, it’s still only 1 “bonus-frame”. Must reach 6pts difference for 2 “bonus-frames” to be added to the lower points team score total, for results/ladders.
(eg.. Div 4 & 5 = if teams are 2.3pts difference, then lower team gets 1 “bonus-frame” added.
If 3.9pts difference, it’s still only 1 “bonus-frame”. Must reach 4pts difference for 2 “bonus-frames” to be added to the lower points team score total, for results/ladders.
** ALSO PLEASE NOTE - there will now be a MAXIMUM BONUS FRAMES LIMIT, as noted above, & in the attached document.

REMINDER - EDPL Presentation Night tickets close THIS FRIDAY 3RD OCT!

• DATE: Saturday 18th October
• HELD: Dorset Gardens Hotel
• COST: $70.00 per head
Tickets were issued to clubs at the Delegates Meeting on Mon 11th Aug.
Ticket sales close THIS FRIDAY 3RD OCTOBER (as we need to give final numbers to Dorset Gardens 2 weeks prior).
So… please sell tickets to your club members, & return the “Sold” ticket list, & any “unsold” tickets to EDPL by 4pm Friday 3rd October.
There will be NO tickets available after that closing date!
Please notify EDPL of any special dietary requirements and allergies.
IF you sell all your club’s allocated tickets, please contact EDPL & more tickets may be available.
Tickets can be sold to current registered EDPL members, & their partner/friend accompanying the member, for $70 per head (so NOT just sold to anyone/others, as the ticket price is subsidized by EDPL).
If more than 1 accompanying person wishes to attend, then the FULL cost will be charged to any extras ($100ea) |

The following documents for EDPL Summer Season 2025-26 have been emailed to all clubs' Execs, and are also on the EDPL Website under Documents+Forms…

Team Applications close *Thursday 25th September (*due date has been changed, to get team forms in before the long weekend)
The updated 2025-26 player points will be utilized, now available on the EDPL website.
No team submitted can be more than 105 points in total.
“INFORMATION NOTES” Please read all details in the Notes, as there’s a few changes for this upcoming Summer Season….
• TEAM APPPLICATIONS will be lodged similar to winter season teams, so clubs execs to lodge club-team form with number of Summer teams applying for, & venue, & division preferences.
• SUMMER CLUB PLAYER REGO PROCESSING FORM – listing ALL club’s intended Summer Season players (…so no need to specify which team or division, as was previously done).
Players must be listed on this bulk rego form, & lodged by Friday 10th October, to be able to play week 1 of season (as is done in Winter Season), as well as any rego forms & clearances required.
• DIVISIONAL POINTS CAPS “new”/un-pointed value & “forfeit” point values are listed in the Info Notes.
• 4 or 5 Divisions depending on number of teams applied for, & divisional preferences.
• Umpire / Timing All Divisions – 45 Second shot-clock!
And… Divs 1 & 2 – Umpires Optional!
HANDICAP & BONUS-FRAMES – TBC ! All Clubs’ Execs have been emailed asking for feedback by next Wednesday 3rd September, on whether you want to keep Team Handicaps & Bonus Frames or abolish it.

There will be a fortnightly Friday night Pool Comp at the Mulgrave Country Club, commencing Friday 5th September, then 19th September, & each fortnight after...
* 7:00pm Registration
* 7:30pm Comp Starts
* $15.00 per head entry
* Maximum 32 players
* Open to all players over the age of 18
* Buy-backs allowed if draw permits
* International Rules
1st Prize = $200 cash + $100 venue voucher
2nd Prize = $100 cash + $50 venue voucher

| ALL FRAMES MUST BE UMPIRED IN MATCHES ! |
Hello Members,
It has been brought to our attention that some teams are NOT umpiring frames in matches on a Tuesday night?!
ALL FRAMES played in EDPL matches MUST be umpired, including timed, as per EDPL By-Laws & match requirements.
REMINDER about the following EDPL By-Laws....
* By-Law 8.4 – In both Winter and Summer seasons, both the home and the away teams shall supply Umpires for competition nights. Failure by either club to supply enough umpires on competition night will result in a fine.
* By-Law 8.15 – All players and umpire(s) participating in a frame must be present (at the table) before the “BALL RACKING” can be accepted and timing can commence.
* By-Law 16.2.15 – Failure to supply sufficient umpires on home & away matches, Fine $10.00 per umpire not supplied.
Most teams are doing the correct thing, & abiding by the Umpiring By-Laws, BUT... for any team that is NOT umpiring, please ensure your team IS umpiring frames from now on, no exceptions!
This issue will also be on the Agenda for the next Delegates Meeting on Monday 7th July.

Please find attached the EDPL Calendar 2025, which has been amended with the updated WINTER FINALS DATES.
Please ensure all club members are aware of the amended Finals schedule & dates, & a reminder that Premier Division finals start 2 weeks after Divs 1,2,3,4 Finals commence. |

| 3 venues where matches start AT 7PM ! |
There are 3 pub venues where matches MUST START AT 7:00 PM!
* DORSET GARDENS HOTEL
* MITCHAM HOTEL
* MOUNTAIN VIEW HOTEL
MUST start at 7:00pm, as per venue management request.
Could you please ensure all players know, who play any matches at these 3 venues!
We highly recommend that ALL matches at ALL venues can start at 7pm, as per updated EDPL By-law 8.7...
"Matches shall commence no later than 7:15pm [earlier starts, i.e. from 7.00pm are to be encouraged]."

| Combined Premier Division CLEARANCE info |
Combined Premier Division Notice for 2025 Winter and Beyond
Good morning to all the Premier Division players of the EDPL & DDPL,
After a meeting of the 2 leagues’ Executive committees, we have agreed that clearances will now be required as a formality between leagues, even if you play for an EDPL team and then you want to move across to a DDPL team ..
As an example, if you recently played for Manhattan Eightball Club for Winter 2024 and want to play for Green Tables Pool Club in winter 2025…
A. You must complete the clearance section on league rego form and have it signed as per normal by both clubs involved.
B. The person requesting the clearance must also be financial and have no outstanding debt to its current/previous club, so if you currently owe money to Manhattan Eightball club, the outstanding fees must be paid before Manhattan will approve the clearance to Green Tables.
The EDPL & DDPL Committees are unified with this decision and will not accept any registration requests from anyone still owing moneys to existing clubs.
We hope this makes sense to everyone and if it doesn’t, please contact someone from the combined league’s Executives.

Please note that some Matrix Category Definitions & points values have changed, & is now based on the “new” player's achievements as at the starting date of EDPL Winter Season 2025
